Advantive has announced its acquisition of Commerce Vision, an Australia-based digital commerce platform, in a move aimed at enhancing its B2B eCommerce capabilities and expanding its presence in the Australian and New Zealand markets.
The acquisition aligns with Advantive’s strategy to provide interoperable eCommerce solutions across various industries, including dental, PPE and safety, automotive, food service, and wholesale distribution, Advantive said in a news release.
Commerce Vision, headquartered in Brisbane, has been delivering ERP-integrated B2B commerce solutions since 2001, offering tools that facilitate self-service eCommerce experiences and improve customer decision-making.
The platform supports order management, customer relations, and sales automation, enabling businesses to streamline operations both online and offline.
The acquisition also brings Commerce Vision’s AI-driven purchase order automation tool, Lucy, into Advantive’s portfolio.
Lucy’s capabilities in processing inbound PDF purchase orders are expected to gain traction in the US market, where manufacturers and distributors are increasingly adopting automation solutions.
Kevin Boyce, CEO of Advantive, emphasised the significance of the acquisition, stating that it strengthens the company’s foothold in B2B commerce while enabling expansion into the ANZ market.
“With over 30 years of experience in the distribution and manufacturing industries, Advantive is always looking for the right opportunity to expand our presence and deepen our expertise,” Boyce said.
“The forthcoming acquisition of Commerce Vision enables us to further solidify our position in B2B commerce while expanding into the ANZ market, and unlocking new opportunities for growth in the U.S.”
Commerce Vision’s CEO, David Brice, expressed enthusiasm about joining Advantive. “Since 2001, Commerce Vision has grown from the ground up to suit the unique and complex challenges of businesses in B2B commerce.”
“As we move forward with our combined solutions, we strive to deliver on this promise while furthering innovation in the industry,” Brice said.
Advantive, a provider of ERP software for wholesale distribution and B2B commerce industries such as food and beverage, health and beauty, and fast-moving consumer goods, views the acquisition as a step toward expanding its technological offerings.
With Commerce Vision’s intelligent sales automation, mobile merchandising, and field CRM tools, Advantive said it aims to enhance its capabilities for more than 85 brands globally.
