Current Managing Director Global Brands and Nutrition Jacqueline Chow will fill in the newly created position of Chief Operating Officer Velocity where she will work alongside the management team to accelerate performances across the Co-operative.

“In her new role, Jacqueline will lead the next stage in Fonterra’s evolution, working across the entire Co-operative to push forward the Velocity part of our V3 strategy and deliver the best possible performance,” said Fonterra’s Chief Executive, Mr Theo Spierings, in a press release.

The second change within the company’s management structure will see Johan Priem – currently Fonterra’s President Greater China – take on the additional role of Managing Director Asia Middle East and Africa (Asia MEA).

Mr Spierings said Mr Priem was the ideal candidate to fill in the additional role of Managing Director Asia MEA given his previous experience in holding senior leadership positions in the region for Fonterra and other companies.

“Johan will draw on his extensive knowledge, experience and relationships in the region, which includes a number of Fonterra’s key strategic markets.”

Fonterra said that due to Ms Chow’s new appointment, René Dedoncker – a Senior Executive in the Global Brands and Nutrition team – will join the Fonterra Management Team as Acting Managing Director Global Brands and Nutrition.

Ms Chow’s new appointment will take effect from 1 June 2015 whereas Mr Priem will take on his new role on 1 August 2015.
