The device represents a modified, wrist-mounted version of the Dolphin™ 70e Black mobile and is specifically engineered to improve warehouse operations including picking, packing and shipping.

Incorporating a valuable combination of ergonomics, ruggedness and large screen size, the device empowers workers with the hands-free convenience which allows them to handle more tasks with fewer disruptions to workflow.

“Distribution centre operators in Asia Pacific are looking for the most flexible, application-expandable and future-proofed solutions that are aligned with the changing needs of the industry,” said Lynn Huang, APAC Head of Marketing & Strategy, Honeywell Scanning & Mobility.

“With innovative technologies like wearable devices, Honeywell is able to deliver to both small and large customers based in the region the solutions that they need to remain competitive in a fast changing environment both today and into the future.”

The Honeywell Wearable Solution is equipped with a more comfortable and hygienic armband than conventional wearables and can be worn for extended periods of time.

It features large display, flexible touchscreen keypads, Windows® Embedded Handheld 6.5 operating system architecture and support for tethered and BT ring scanners, which makes it ideally suited to give workers the freedom of movement to maximise workflow productivity.

The Honeywell Wearable Solution will begin shipping in Asia Pacific in December.
