Clesana Australia has launched its first mobile water-free toilet with a welded sanitary bag system, aimed at reducing odour and eliminating direct handling of human waste.
The European portable toilet, now exclusively available in Australia, targets industries such as recreational vehicles (RVs), marine, and tourist facilities where mobility and hygiene are critical, the company said in a news release.
According to Clesana Australia Director Sebastian Langton, the product combines hygiene, comfort, and environmental sustainability in one solution.
“This innovation re-invents hygiene, comfort, and environmental sustainability in the one product,” Langton said.
The toilet’s functionality revolves around a heat-sealing method, which encapsulates waste in secure, odour-proof bags.
These bags, supplied in rolls of 100, prevent the need for manual waste handling or disposal at campsites or aquatic facilities.
The pongs and waste that go in the bag, stay in the bag – nothing needs to be manually sorted, scraped, handled, carried distances or quickly dumped on campsite or aquatic facilities, which is what often happens,” Langton explained.
Designed for integration into caravans, yachts, tiny homes, and remote tourist facilities, the Clesana toilet offers advantages in ease of use and practicality.
Features include an effective liner foil system that traps waste, germs, and bacteria, ensuring a clean and odour-free environment.
The sealed bags can be safely disposed of as general household waste, reducing environmental impact in sensitive areas like bushland and aquatic ecosystems.
For manufacturers and fitout specialists, the toilet presents sales opportunities, aligning with a growing demand for sustainable and user-friendly products, the company noted.
Clesana Australia’s operations are supported by a 2,500-square-meter facility in Waterloo, Sydney, which serves as a hub for engineering, technical support, and distribution.
