First Graphene has announced its expansion into the Asian market with new distribution agreements in China and Vietnam.
These agreements aim to introduce the company’s flagship PureGRAPH graphene products into the coatings, composites, and construction materials sectors in two of Asia’s major manufacturing economies.
The addition of these markets brings First Graphene’s global distribution network to eight groups across seven markets, the company said in an ASX announcement.
With these strategic partnerships, the company aims to enhance conductivity, barrier, and mechanical properties in a variety of materials, including textiles, coatings, composites, and polymers.
“We have seen extensive progress on multiple commercial fronts recently, including entry into two globally significant markets through new distribution partners in Vietnam and China,” said Michael Bell, managing director and CEO of First Graphene.
The company reported that China accounts for roughly 30 per cent of global manufacturing output, contributing an estimated USD 5 trillion to the world economy.
Meanwhile, Vietnam’s manufacturing output, surpassing USD 100 billion in 2023, further underscores its potential as a growth driver for the company.
Further bolstering its commercial outlook, the company has secured its first PureGRAPH order for textiles in Brazil.
The order, now in the recurring phase, underscores the product’s thermal and performance-enhancing properties, marking a milestone in its strategic entry into the textiles sector.
“This is the first opportunity converted in the textiles space and will help demonstrate the application and potential advantages of PureGRAPH® in a broader range of applications,” Bell remarked.
“We are focused on driving growth across high-demand industries globally, and these partnerships are a testament to our ongoing efforts,” Bell concluded. “Our progress in Asia, alongside advancements in Europe and Australia, positions us for an exciting period of commercialisation and expansion.”
