Titomic, a global leader in advanced cold spray solutions, has announced its first sale to the US Navy’s Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA).
The sale of the D523 cold spray system was facilitated by Titomic’s reseller, Anywise America, and demonstrates Titomic’s growing influence in defence technology.
The D523 system is designed for high-precision restoration and corrosion protection, making it ideal for the Navy’s operational environment.
“Partnering with NAVSEA underscores our commitment to providing cutting-edge, reliable solutions that align with the Navy’s high standards for critical asset maintenance,” a spokesperson from Titomic said.
NAVSEA, the most advanced of the US Navy’s six system commands, manages the design, construction, and maintenance of naval ships, submarines, and systems, all while supporting the operational readiness of the fleet.
The sale to NAVSEA builds on Titomic’s recent success in providing cold spray systems to other defense forces, including the delivery of ten D523 systems to the Royal Dutch Army and additional units to the French Navy, which utilises the technology to support its southern fleet.
Titomic’s D523 systems offer innovative capabilities for in-field repairs, enabling extended equipment life and reduced downtime.
Currently, the company is in discussions with NAVSEA to identify additional applications for cold spray solutions that could support a range of maintenance and repair needs across the Navy’s fleet.
