GME has announced the launch of its newest range of 5-Watt Handheld UHF CB radios, the TX6165, designed for users who require rugged and reliable communication in both work and recreational settings.

The TX6165 boasts a range of class-leading features, including a large, clear LCD display, a powerful 2-Watt speaker, and a user-programmable button that enhances usability, the company said in a news release.

With a transmission power of 5 Watts and an IP67 ingress protection rating, the TX6165 is engineered for optimal performance in Australia’s harsh environments.

Users can also benefit from a robust battery life of up to 30 hours, VOX hands-free mode, and a built-in LED torch, making it an ideal choice for various applications.

“Whether you’re exploring Australia’s bushland via 4×4, working in remote areas, or staying connected on the job site, communication is key,” said GME Safety Expert Tony Crooke.

“And with only 27% of the Australian landmass covered by mobile phone reception, you need the right tech to keep safe.”

The new product line includes several options to meet diverse needs: the TX6165 with a full range of professional-grade accessories, the TX6165TP twin pack housed in a rugged carry case, and the standard TX6165X for users who only require basic functionality.

The radios also come in Blaze Orange and Yellow options.

“This is where the TX6165 delivers; providing rugged functionality for all users, without breaking the bank,” Crooke added, highlighting the affordability of the new radios.

The TX6165 range is aimed at those seeking dependable UHF CB communication for both work and leisure, ensuring users stay connected no matter where they are in Australia.
