Australian manufacturer Novon rebrands to showcase innovation in lighting

Studio 3AM announced the rebranding of Novon, a pioneering Australian-owned lighting company renowned for its innovative approach to connecting people with spaces through cutting-edge lighting solutions. 

This comprehensive rebranding effort aligns with Novon’s renewed focus on sustainable innovation and excellence in manufacturing, the company said in a news release. 

The rebranding journey began with a new name that captures the essence of the company’s forward-thinking ethos. 

According to the company, “Novon” is a blend of ‘Nov’, derived from the Latin word for ‘new’, and ‘on’, symbolising the company’s unwavering commitment to continuous innovation. 

“The name ‘Novon’ truly represents our future,” said Nick Grieco, Marketing & Communications Specialist at Novon.

In addition to the visual elements, Novon’s brand personality is further defined through the use of two distinct font families: Plus Jakarta Sans, a geometric sans serif, and Switzer, a neo-grotesk sans serif. 

This combination ensures readability and echoes the geometric forms found in the logo, reinforcing the brand’s technical precision and innovative spirit.
