With the Australian Manufacturing Week (AMW) 2024 fast approaching, Sydney is set to become the epicentre of groundbreaking innovations in the advanced manufacturing sector.

The prestigious event, hosted by the Australian Manufacturing Technology Institute Limited (AMTIL), will be held at the International Convention Centre, Darling Harbour, Sydney, from 17 to 19 April 2024.

At the heart of innovation

From experiencing the latest innovative technologies and machinery to meeting with trendsetters at the forefront of Australia’s technological revolution, AMW aims to bridge the country’s diverse sectors with the broader manufacturing landscape.

The event will provide attendees with the unique opportunity to explore the emerging cutting-edge technologies shaping the industry locally and globally.

Showcasing everything from 3D printing marvels to artificial intelligence-driven production lines, participants from subsectors all over the industry, including automotive, aerospace, and electronic manufacturing, can expect to see something dedicated to them with AMW’s seven product zones.

Finlease’s Austech Machine Tools Zone will feature advanced manufacturing products and processes, including CNC machinery, lathes, mills, contract manufacturing and precision machining. Meanwhile, the AMHub-sponsored Additive Manufacturing Zone will highlight the best and the brightest innovators in 3D printing.

The Australian Manufacturing Pavilion will showcase Australia’s engineering and advanced manufacturing capabilities, celebrating the country’s most accomplished component manufacturers, precision engineering firms, toolmakers, advanced manufacturers, and general engineering companies.

Protected Flow Manufacturing’s Manufacturing Solutions Zone will offer optimised solutions to the most common challenges Australian manufacturers face.

AMW will also feature the latest equipment and processes for optimising manufacturing operations at the Robotics and Automation Zone and the advanced welding processes at the Weld & Air Solutions Zone.

Lastly, the Australian Manufacturing Technology-backed Plastics Technology Zone will provide event-goers with a hands-on opportunity to see and feel the latest in plastics machinery, mould-making solutions, recycling materials, and manufacturing processes.

For Australian manufacturers, the Australian Manufacturing Week is more than just a showcase; it is a catalyst for growth and development and a testimony to the continuous growth of the Australian manufacturing sector.

As AMW 2024 opens in Sydney in April, it is set to be a landmark event for advanced manufacturing, offering a rare glimpse into the future of manufacturing, where innovation, collaboration, and sustainability are leading the way.
