In response to escalating demand from both recreational adventurers and fleet operators, NORWELD, Australia’s 4WD aluminium tray and canopy manufacturer, announced a significant investment of $5 million in a cutting-edge facility located in Wangara, Perth.

The new facility, spanning over 2,573 square metres, is tailored to cater to the burgeoning needs of customers across Western Australia, including those in the rugged terrains of The Kimberley, and even extends its reach to international markets in the Middle East and North Africa.

At full capacity, the state-of-the-art facility is anticipated to employ 30 local staff, effectively tripling NORWELD’s previous production capabilities in WA.

The expansion underscores NORWELD’s commitment to delivering premium-grade products designed to withstand the rigours of Australia’s most demanding environments, from agricultural and mining sectors to trade applications.

Dion Katemis, NORWELD WA Sales and Operations Manager, emphasised the strong local demand for top-tier trays and canopies, particularly highlighting the need for durability and reliability in Perth’s off-road enthusiasts and fleet operators.

He noted, “Our fleet customers know Norweld products are built to last, which saves their teams immensely on costs associated with repairs and replacements.”

Diesel & Dirt Contractors, a prominent labour hire firm servicing mining and construction sectors, attests to NORWELD’s superior quality and customizability.

Operations Manager Al Kristensen commended NORWELD’s innovative solutions and structural integrity, asserting their products’ superiority over traditional fleet options.

In celebration of the inauguration of the new facility, NORWELD is organising a Grand Opening event on Saturday, 24th February, offering attendees the chance to win prizes exceeding $18,000 in value, including NORWELD’s latest Elite trays.

The event promises an exciting lineup featuring demonstration vehicles, previews of upcoming products, facility tours, and presentations from leading aftermarket suppliers such as ARB, TJM, and REDARC.
