Australian manufacturer Laminex has clinched a spot in the top 10 of the Australia Financial Review BOSS Most Innovative Companies list, a roster that seeks to celebrate Australian businesses that are challenging the status quo.

Laminex attributed the recognition to its continued commitment to innovation, dedication to quality design, and the drive of its team members.

The company was established in 1934 and began with creating decorative laminates. It then scaled and diversified its product range to include modern laminates, acrylic surfaces, timber panelling products and more.

“In recent years, the business has committed to make a material shift in innovation and vitality. Led by our desire to make things easier for our customers and expand into new markets, we’ve leveraged our many years industry experience combined with local manufacturing expertise to create new product solutions which have been well received, like Surround by Laminex,” said Sacha Leagh-Murray, general manager marketing at Laminex.

Its panelling product, Surround by Laminex, marks a significant milestone for the company after it took the design industry by storm with its pre-primed sheets constructed from raw MDF with a tongue and groove system.

The product is simple to install and customisable from inception to design, Laminex said in a media release.

“Laminex is not stopping here; this is just the beginning of our journey towards even greater innovation. Surround by Laminex is continuously innovating, and there are exciting developments on the horizon. Beyond Surround by Laminex, we are looking forward to bringing more innovation that creates new value for Laminex and our customers,” Leagh-Murray said.
