The 30th Chief Ministers’ NT Export Awards, held at Parliament House, have recognised the accomplishments of the Northern Territory’s top exporters, emphasising the excellence in the manufacturing sector.
This year’s awards program encompassed various sectors, including education, manufacturing, agribusiness, sustainability, emerging businesses, and regional exports.
In a media release, the government announced that Speed3D, a metal additive manufacturing company based in Melbourne, Victoria, has won in the advanced technologies category.
Additionally, KBA Global, an established migration and education consultancy, was acclaimed for its achievements in the sphere of Professional Services.
Speed3D received a second accolade for its contributions to Sustainability and the Green Economy, while Alana Kaye Group Pty Ltd stood out in the category of International Education and Training.
AusNorth Trading Pty Ltd earned recognition as an Emerging Exporter, and Rum Jungle Exports demonstrated excellence in the Agribusiness, Food, and Beverage sectors.
Manufacturing and Advanced Materials saw Speed3D excel once again, while Ikuntiji Artists shone in the category of Small Business.
The Regional Exporter award was given to Asia Pacific Aircraft Storage for its contributions to the regional export landscape.
Notably, Speed3D secured the highest accolade, being honoured as the NT Exporter of the Year, a testament to their exceptional contributions to the export industry.
Chief Minister Natasha Fyles expressed her enthusiasm for this year’s awards, highlighting the winners’ remarkable adaptability, innovation, and growth within the manufacturing sector.
“These businesses make an important contribution to the Territory economy and by supporting them we are enabling more jobs for Territorians and help grow capabilities of our industry,” Fyles said.
She also extended her heartfelt congratulations to the winners and wished them success at the upcoming national awards ceremony in Canberra.
The winners of the Northern Territory Export Awards national program categories automatically advance to the finals of the Australian Export Awards, offering them an opportunity to showcase their manufacturing achievements on a national stage.
The National Export Awards ceremony is slated to be held in Canberra on 30 November.
