Fixx Nutrition, a Queensland-based nutrition and wellness company, has established a new manufacturing facility in Burleigh Heads to cater to the growing domestic and global demand for its sports and dietary supplements.
The additional manufacturing capability will double the production volumes of Fixx Nutrition’s CrampFix, Fuel X, and Energy Gel product lines by more than 100 per cent as the company plans to enter the South African market, off the back of further growth in international markets like the United Kingdom, the US, and South Korea.
Jan Buchegger, co-founder of Fixx Nutrition, said the new manufacturing facility positions the company to meet demand in established domestic and global markets while entering new places like South Africa.
“Our clients include professional cyclists, triathletes, local sporting codes such as the AFL along with the NRL, the New Zealand, English and Pakistani international cricket teams, national Rugby sides like the Wallabies and the Springboks, along with most of the English Premier League clubs. We believe the greater care athletes are driving this demand are taking to around what they put in their bodies and our products are designed to provide them with an all-natural formula to relieve their fatigue-induced symptoms like cramping or improve performance using legal and approved products,” Buchegger said.
Fixx Nutrition was founded in 2017 and boasts over 20 years of experience in food manufacturing, which it leverages to research and explore innovative ideas to resolve cramping and provide nutrition for endurance athletes.
The company saw rapid growth beginning in 2020, with milestones including an Australia-wide distribution deal for its products with Woolworths Supermarkets, bringing its retail presence to over 1,000 stores nationally while building its global presence in countries like the United States, Europe, and Asia off the back of its renowned signature CrampFix Range.
