The Shaping the Future of Manufacturing breakfast event, taking place tomorrow, 9 August 2023, is set to provide leaders in the manufacturing industry with valuable insights and opportunities for growth, innovation, and sustainability.

Two eminent guest speakers will share their knowledge and skills with guests at the event, which will be held at Quest Epping in Victoria.

Michelle Vincenzini, senior program manager of the Digital Jobs for Manufacturing Program (DJSIR), will explain the initiative, an opportunity for Victorian manufacturers to get completely subsidised 12-week training courses delivered by renowned educational institutions.

The programs will address a variety of topics, such as artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), digital marketing, and cyber security, among others.

In the event, Vincenzini will go through how this initiative may advance workers’ professional growth, improve their skill sets, and promote digital transformation in the industrial sector.

Meanwhile, Georgette Godbolt, head of sales at Sustainable Australia Fund, will emphasise the value of sustainability and how it can assist companies in reducing their energy expenditures.

Godbolt will give specific recommendations for workable tactics that can lower overhead costs dramatically while promoting sustainability within organisations.

Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the financial and environmental advantages of adopting sustainability strategies, such as significant operating cost savings.

The Sustainable Australia Fund official will also draw attention to government-sponsored initiatives that can help fund and give additional resources for sustainable projects, such as Environmental Upgrade Finance.

Attendees will have the chance to interact with guest speakers, pose questions, and form connections with other professionals in their field.

According to the organiser City of Whittlesea, the purpose of the event is to arm manufacturing sector professionals with the information and resources they need to future-proof their businesses.

“By integrating digital skills and embracing sustainable practices, businesses can stay ahead of the curve, drive innovation, and create a positive impact on both the environment and their bottom line,” the organiser stated.

The event will run from 7:30 am to 10:00 am AEST.
