ASX-listed additive manufacturing company Titomic Limited has received a purchase order worth more than $132,000 from Boeing Space, Intelligence, and Weapons Systems, for the continuation of the flight qualifications of Titomic Kinetic Fusion (TKF) manufactured components.
In a media release, Titomic said the order marks the next step in its production relationship with Boeing, which began in 2021 and focused on the development and flight qualifications of Titomic Kinetic Fusion manufactured components.
The purchase order follows an agreement between Titomic and Boeing in May 2019, which focused on the production of additively manufactured test parts. The companies have collaborated to develop and test the Titomic Kinetic Fusion tech for various aerospace applications.
According to Titomic, the purchase order from Boeing marks a significant milestone towards commercial manufacturing of the technology on a larger scale.
