PK Group spin-off battery tech company Li-S Energy has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoA) with Insitu Pacific to integrate and test its innovative battery technology in Insitu’s range of UAS.
Located in Brisbane, Insitu Pacific is a wholly owned subsidiary of Boeing established in 2009. The company serves defence customers across the Asia Pacific region and commercial customers globally.
Under the terms of the MoA, Li-S Energy and Insitu will work together to define and execute a program to manufacture and test batteries to the same size, weight and power constraints as the Insitu Pacific UAS, as well as utilizing the same payload space and connectors.
The two parties will subsequently conduct a collaborative flight testing campaign in Australia at Insitu’s test range in Queensland to demonstrate the performance improvements expected as a result of this partnership.
