Australian homeland security solutions provider XTEK Limited has received a A$1.9m purchase order from Defence for spare parts to support the ongoing operations of Small Unmanned Aerial Systems (SUAS) used by Defence under the Land 129-4A Support Contract.
CEO Scott Basham, said the follow on order for almost A$2m of SUAS spare parts was part of the the XTEK’ ongoing support contract with Defence for the Land 129 Phase 4A project.
“XTEK is the prime Systems Integrator for this project, and we have been supporting Defence for the last 5 years, providing high-end technical maintenance, support, and repairs to the SUAS fleet, as well as other important Defence equipment fleets such as EOD robots,” Mr Basham continued.
“These spare parts, which will be held in our state-ofthe-art SUAS repair facility in Canberra, will be used to keep important operational UAV capabilities in the air for Defence.”
Headquartered in Canberra, XTEK Limited provides products to the government, law enforcement, military, space and commercial sectors. The Canberra facility houses a sophisticated electronics workshop and a composite repair facility to provide in-house through life support for the equipment it provides.
The company’s Manufacturing and R&D Centre in Adelaide, South Australia, is primarily focused on the development of XTclave and lightweight composite technologies.
These technologies include XTclave produced ballistic products and advanced composite solutions, and XTatlas real time contextual video, which provide unique solutions for western military forces and other government agencies.
According to the company’s statement, the supply and maintenance of SUAS remains a focus for XTEK.
