The Australian Defence Magazine will now be accepting entries for the 2021 Women in Defence Awards starting today.
“Following on from the success of the program last year, the 2021 Women in Defence Awards will celebrate talented, determined, successful women who make a positive impact in the defence business arena, as members of Defence industry, Australian Public Service (APS) or in uniform,” the magazine announced in its website.
Held annually to acknowledge and celebrate women in the defence industry, the Women in Defence Awards will recognize women in the following categories:
- Communications
- Engineering
- Legal / Contracting
- Operations
- People & Culture
- Project Management
- Rising Star Award (under the age of 30)
- Technical Trade
- Research & Development
- Hall of Fame Lifetime Achievement Award
ADM will be accepting online entries until 4pm on Thursday 1st April 2021, followed by judging in May 2021. The awarding gala will be held at the National Arboretum Canberra on 30 July 2021.
The Women in Defence Awards first began in 2018. Last year, over 600 people attended the virtual awarding event.
