With just one week until Fine Food Australia’s 40th anniversary, anticipation is growing for the 2 to 5 September event at the Melbourne Convention Exhibition Centre, which will showcase over 870 exhibitors, celebrity chef demonstrations, and cutting-edge food technology.

Among the highlights to look forward to are appearances by renowned chefs like Adam Moore and Adrian Richardson, the organisers said in a news release.

Chef Moore, known for his innovative strategies in navigating the foodservice industry’s current challenges, is scheduled to speak on 2 September 2nd at 11:15 am on the Talking Trends Stage.

Chef Richardson will showcase versatile cooking techniques using the new COOKT range, a line of pre-marinated protein products.

The event will also host some of Australia’s most prestigious culinary competitions.

The Nestlé Golden Chef’s Hat Award will feature a Grand Final Cook-off that highlights the talents of junior and apprentice chefs.

Additionally, the Great Aussie Pie Competition will return, with esteemed judges such as Anna Polyviou, Sean “Pyney” Pyne, and Reyan Fernando evaluating the best in pie and pastry excellence.

Sustainability will be a central theme at this year’s event, particularly at The Source Kitchen.

Under the theme “Reduce, Reuse, Repurpose, Recycle, and Rescue,” discussions will focus on reducing food wastage and exploring sustainable packaging solutions within the foodservice industry.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to explore the latest in foodservice technology.

The Talking Tech sessions will delve into innovations like robotic waiters and Wok Robots, with futurist Rod Fowler leading discussions on how these advancements revolutionise kitchens across Australia.
