Legrand Australia, a key player in the global market for electrical installations and digital building infrastructures, is underscoring its dedication to local manufacturing and innovation during this year’s Australian Made Week, celebrated from 20 to 26 May.

This initiative is part of Legrand’s ongoing commitment to supporting the industries of Australia and New Zealand (ANZ), the company said in a news release.

Legrand Australia, a segment of the international Legrand network, is responsible for the design, manufacture, and distribution of over 15,000 products under renowned brands such as Legrand, HPM, BTicino, and Netatmo.

The company focuses on enhancing lives through innovative, sustainable, and user-friendly solutions.

Operating from its manufacturing hub in the Sydney suburb of Prestons, Legrand Australia said it aims to bolster local jobs and strengthen the local economy by providing jobs to hundreds of Australians.

The Prestons facility is equipped with a dedicated research and development team, alongside a local manufacturing and warehouse unit.

This local hub is pivotal in creating electrical and digital infrastructure solutions tailored to meet the specific needs of the Australian market.

“Although a lot of manufacturing has disappeared from our shores in recent years, there are many positive benefits to operating an Australian-based facility, and that’s why Legrand supports Australian Made Week and the celebration of Australian manufacturing,” stated Palash Nandy, CEO of Legrand ANZ.

“Legrand’s local footprint allows us to remain agile and responsive while providing the best solutions for our local customers,” Nandy noted.

Highlighting their commitment to local production, Legrand’s premium range of exit and emergency lighting fittings is 100 per cent certified Australian Made.

This certification provides customers with the assurance that they are purchasing products designed and manufactured locally, ensuring high quality and reliability.

Ben Lazzaro, CEO of Australian Made, emphasised the importance of supporting locally produced goods.

“Aussie products are made to some of the highest standards in the world. They are trusted and known for their safety and quality…When you buy Australian Made products, you are helping to employ thousands of Australians across all areas of the supply chain, strengthen local industries, and support local communities,” Lazzaro stated.
